Ultrasonic Level Transmitter
For constant and non-contact level of measurement in liquids, pastes and coarse bulk materials and for measuring the flow in open channels, such a device is widely put in use.
Ultrasonic level of instruments are made to operate on the basic principle of making precise use of sound waves, in order to determine the level of liquid/ solid/ slurries. Further, other than the standard level measurement or volume measurement, open channel flow can be monitored and the exact volumetric throughput can also be verified in lift stations. Besides, with such a device in place, we can also measure differential level and can control the pumps.
In grander scheme of things, Minimum measuring distance denoted as Xm and which is also known as the “Dead Band” becomes the most regular feature to all ultrasonic level meters. Such is the limited range in front of the sensor within which the ultrasonic device can never measure. Maximum measuring distance (XM), such is the longest range under ideal condition under which the device can carry out the measurement. However, with the help of such device, differential level can also be measured and pumps can be controlled too.
